Heather Banu teaches Kindergarten through third grade Special Education.  She has been teaching at Hamilton Elementary School for 5 years.  She graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Psychology and Theatre.  After moving to Chicago she decided to return to school to pursue a career in education.  She attended DePaul University and received her Master’s with a dual certification in Special Education and General Education. 
Mrs. Banu has a daughter who is in Kindergarten at Hamilton.  When she is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family as well as traveling all over to spend time with her extended family.
