Ms. Kim has been teaching for 9 years. She did her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She taught early childhood special education for 6 years with the Champaign School District, where she worked with students “at-risk” and students with special needs- particularly students who are deaf or hard of hearing amongst other disabilities. This is Ms. Kim’s third year at Hamilton teaching kindergarten. She is passionate about the importance of early childhood education and loves working with young children. Ms. Kim considers it especially exciting to witness her students learn to read and write. She finds kids’ inventive spelling the most fun to read and watch develop. When she is not teaching, Ms. Kim enjoys reading a good book, watching a great movie, or seeing a live show!
