Karla McReynolds is a 17-year certified, early childhood veteran teacher with a particular interest and passion for assisting children with different abilities to reach their fullest potential. She is a certified gifted teacher and early childhood teacher. She is a very strong advocate for gifted education. She has been a part of the gifted community for the past 14 years. She is the mother of a gifted daughter who has been educated through a CPS gifted school. She is furthering her gifted education through participation in various workshops, gifted Webinars, and training through the Office of Academic Enhancement. Mrs. McReynolds has worked with children of various abilities including: the “At Risk”, deaf and hard of hearing, mute, autistic, ADHD, developmentally delayed, academically advanced, and gifted through her years at Stockton, Bell School, as well as Hamilton. She looks forward to seeing the Comprehensive Gifted Program at Hamilton grow so that more children in the neighborhood can have the opportunity to learn with like- minded children in their community.
