Nichole Moos teaches Tuition Based Preschool at Hamilton School. She is a transplant from Idaho where she received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies at Boise State University. She then moved to West Virginia for her husband’s graduate education and pursued her masters in Early Childhood Education with a focus on the Reggio Emilia Approach at West Virginia University. She moved to Chicago two years ago. This is her sixth year teaching and third year at Hamilton school. In addition to teaching preschool, Nichole coaches Girls on the Run and has a passion for green initiatives at Hamilton. She’s interested in helping Hamilton become a zero-waste school and helped to start lunch waste composting and milk carton recycling across all grades this past fall. Nichole is anxiously awaiting planting Hamilton’s first community garden this spring!
Nichole and her husband have a delightful great dane, Maggie May, who receives far too much love and attention. They enjoy taking her to the dog beach and backpacking with her in the summer, and in the winter they just try not to slip on the ice. Other non-dog related interests include: running, cooking, eating, playing guitar in a jug band, and laughing, a lot.
