Roshea Lovings

My name is Roshea Yvette Lovings; I was born November 8, 1964, in Greenville, Mississippi, where I spent my childhood and early adult years. I graduated from Greenville High School in the spring of 1983 and then pursued a higher education at Alcorn State University, the following fall, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Special Education. I aspired to become a teacher or work in a related field dealing with children, because they are my inspiration. I moved to Chicago, Illinois, in 1987, to further my college education, however, after seeking employment at Treasury Island, my educational goals and work schedule did not coincide. Eventually, realizing the importance of my dreams, I decided to redirect my life and continue with my education. In 2008, I enrolled at Harold Washington College, where I am a senior possessing a GPA 3.8. I also, begin working at Hamilton School, where I work with children.  After graduating from Harold Washington, I have plans to attend, Robert Morris University, seeking a Specialist certification; I hope to earn degrees that will allow me to help children who are in dire need of assistance. There is no obstacle that will discourage me from obtaining these dreams.
