8th Graders are creating a work of public art using the 3rd floor windows on the south and southwest sides of the building, so look up and let them know what you think!

7th graders are also learning about public art and are creating drawings of public art pieces within collages of Chicago.

5th and 6th graders are learning to embroider this week, after practice, they will create pieces exploring radial symmetry.

4rth graders are working on altering and weaving digital self-portraits.

3rd graders are printmaking. They are creating city images with repeated printings and then drawing.

2/3rd is working on an art installation with birds that they have painted and altered. Last week they “installed” and photograped the birds in the garden. This week they will decide how the birds will be installed in the gallery.

1st-2nd graders are working on perspective and how to draw cubes.

Kindergarden is working with line and string painting.
