Meet the HAT Board

Hamilton Action Team (HAT) is a parent group supporting Hamilton through fundraising and other volunteer activities with a commitment to make Hamilton a great school for all its students. The group was formed in March 2006 by a group of parents passionate about Hamilton, and then incorporated as a 501(c)(3) notforprofit a year later. All Hamilton parents are welcome and encouraged to join HAT in supporting our school.
HAT holds elections annually in the May general meeting.  During elections, board members are chosen for the following school year.

kate kreissl
Kate Kreissl, Board Member
Four years ago, Kate jumped on the Patriots' Ball day-of planning committee in the eleventh hour and had such a fabulous time, she wanted to be more involved with HAT going forward. This is Kate's third year on the HAT Board and, while it's clearly very different one from years prior, Kate loves being part of Hamilton school functions in addition to the friendships she cherishes with her fellow HAT Board members. Kate's sons, Max (third grade), and Bennett (Kindergarten) are both proud Patriots. When she isn't busy yelling at her kids to get back online or to put on their headphones, Kate loves the Cubbies, wine, and solo Target runs -- especially these days -- it's the little things.
Martha Albers, Board Member
Martha got her start helping the HAT board on the Patriots’ Ball committee and this is her first year as a HAT board member.  She and her husband, Brad, have two children:  Elisabeth is a first grader at Hamilton and Marit is 2.  Martha is a co-room parent for Ms. Shafer’s and Ms. Banu’s room.  Martha is a former public-school music teacher.  In her spare time, she dreams of pre-covid activities such as going to musicals, Twins baseball games, binge-watching Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, and “supervising” her children at a McDonald’s Playland while sipping coffee that hasn’t been reheated.
Shari Rogers, Board Member
Shari is the parent of an 8th grade boy.  She has been working on HAT for 6 years, and has been on the board for 4 years. She is the co-chairman of the service committee.  She loves being part of the HAT board, It is really important to her to be involved in her son's school, and this is a great opportunity to do that. She also loves working with the other people on HAT.  Overall, it is a great experience.
