My name is James Townsley. I am a middle school math teacher. This will be my fourth year working at Hamilton Elementary. I have enjoyed each year and strive to motivate each and every student I encounter. I truly believe all students are capable of success. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a B.S. in Applied Psychology. I then pursued a career in social work for a number of years. I then went on to received my MEd. through Loyola University - Chicago in Special Education. I taught special education math at Wells High School for sixteen years. Having taught for close to twenty years and gaining experience in social work I have the ability to build confidence in math students and assist students in achieving their goals. I take great pride in being an educator and am always motivated to learn new strategies and to teach my students and create a fun and challenging learning environment that meets the needs of all students. I love my job!
