Mr. Juven Macias

Mr. Macias is from Rockford, IL. He grew up playing soccer and basketball, as well as tinkering with and racing old Volkswagens. He came to Chicago in 2011 and as lived in Logan Square with his family ever since. He spends his free time adventuring with his family (Sarah, Lu, and Pop Tart), making candles, and building bicycles. 

He has been teaching Computer Science and Technology in CPS since 2012. Before becoming an educator, Mr. Macias spent six years working in the IT field, mostly in network administration. These experiences couples with teaching general education 4th/5th grade classrooms have given Mr. Macias a unique blend of career experiences to share with Hamilton students. In Multimedia Arts, students spend time exploring expression through of the many facets of technology.
