He came to Chicago in 2010 after receiving an opportunity to get his alternative teaching certificate through a program with the Chicago Teacher Fellows. Mr. Stone went on to get an MAT in Special Ed from National-Louis University and an M.Ed in Special Education: Assistive Technology and Multiple Disabilities from UIC.
Mr. Stone is passionate in ensuring students get the opportunity to show what they know everyday. He uses his deep knowledge of how students learn to design individualized accommodations and modifications allowing students to access the grade level curriculum at their level. He supports students socially and emotionally to make sure they have the best possible school experience.
When Mr. Stone is not teaching he loves cooking and riding his bike by the lake.
