The Hamilton Speech and Drama Club is open to middle school students grades 6-8th and will meet every Wednesday 2:45-4:00pm in Rm 207. The first session of the club will be Sept. 11th through January 29th, and then the second session will run from March 11th through late May, with a total cost (for both sessions) of $100 payable to Hamilton Elementary (by check or online!). Throughout the school year, we will focus on activities that help improve focus, build problem-solving skills, encourage spontaneous thinking, and promote trust and confidence within the group and within ourselves. We will learn stage directions and theatre terms, and practice speaking in front of a crowd. To celebrate our learning, we will perform short skits as part of the Music and Dance show, and at the end of the school year on June 2nd we will put on a full-blown production! Email Ms. Antonyzyn at eeantonyzyn@cps.edu to join the club today!
